Video of Man Entering Grave Before Twin Sister Is Buried Stirs Internet: "Culture" Updated

Why did South African jump into the grave? 

The clip of the burial taking place in South Africa showed a group of mourners huddled around a coffin ready for burial. At the head of the grave was a clergyman, clutching a bible. The deceased's brother then courageously jumped into the grave, followed by another man; it is unclear why they went into the grave. They later came out, and everybody looked satisfied with what had occurred.

Hausa Room, who shared the video, said that in some South African cultures, when a twin passes away, the surviving twin is expected to enter the grave before the deceased one is buried.
