Who is Tenuka Ranaweera?

Why did Ranaweera choose Sri Lanka over Harambee Stars?

 Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the 19-year-old explained that the high level of competition for Harambee Stars spots influenced his decision to switch allegiance. He disclosed that he did not think twice when the chance to play for Sri Lanka presented itself, considering it an opportunity to make his father and grandparents proud. While he had ambitions of representing Kenya, he admitted that the journey was challenging due to intense competition for the few available slots.
